It’s March, and you know what that means: It’s time for ABA Techshow 2021! This year, the conference is going to be a virtual one due to the pandemic, but it’s still going to be a great technology conference for lawyers across the country – and the world!
Even though the conference will be virtual, there are a ton of educational and networking opportunities to be had. So if one of your goals this year is to learn all there is to know about using technology in your solo or small law firm, then Techshow 2021 the place to be! Whether it’s cloud computing, mobile tools and apps, law practice management advice, paperless tips, or cybersecurity advice, you’ll find it all at Techshow.
Of course, the MyCase team will be there this week from March 8th to the 12th. The conference may be virtual, but even so we’re super excited to have this opportunity to connect with conference attendees, current customers – and of course, future customers! So make sure to stop by our virtual booth and say hi!
As is always the case, there’s much more to Techshow than the educational sessions. But navigating the virtual format can be challenging since it’s new for all of us. So if you plan to attend this year’s virtual conference, here’s everything you need to know.
The ABA Techshow Schedule
The full conference schedule can be found here. The schedule is also accessible via the online platform, which is where you can join each virtual session. Sessions can be viewed live and recordings of each session will also be available. But note that you’ll only receive CLE credits for the sessions that you attend live, so take that into consideration when choosing which sessions to attend live. You’ll receive your own personal link to access the virtual platform via email after you’ve registered for the conference.
The Sessions and Tech Talks
Techshow CLE seminars cover a vast array of topics that are designed to get your law firm up to speed with 21st century legal technology tools. Whatever you’re interested in learning about, you’re sure to find at least one event that features that topic this year! This year’s sessions run the gamut and there are a wide variety of speakers and topics covered.
There are also Tech Talks available where industry experts offer you a host of legal technology tips in a few minutes or less. There’s one Tech Talk you don’t want to miss – MyCase’s Legal Technology Evangelist Niki Black’s Tech Talk on remote working tips. So make sure to watch that one!
Tech Talks can be accessed via this icon in the left hand menu bar: .
So if one of your goals this year is to use legal technology to get paid quickly, reduce administrative tasks, and get new clients, then you’re in luck! There are lots of great tracks to choose from and you’ll find sessions focused on marketing your law firm, law practice management, cybersecurity, and more. You can read all about them in this year’s brochure. No matter what legal technology topics you’re interested in, there’s something for everyone at this year’s conference!
The EXPO Hall
This year’s EXPO Hall is virtual, and can be accessed via the third icon from the top of the navigation menu on the lefthand side of the virtual lobby.
The icon looks like this: . The EXPO Hall is the best place to be to learn all about the latest legal software. And while you’re there, don’t forget to stop by the MyCase booth for demos of our latest updates which include:

Techshow Networking and Meetups
This year, the networking and meetup sessions are built right into the conference app! You can easily search for likeminded participants and request to set up one-on-one networking sessions. There are also group meetups available that focus on practice areas and topics of interest including cybersecurity, analytics, solo firms, litigators and more. The networking tools can be accessed using the interface on the right hand side of the virtual lobby.
