Get To Know:
Margaret Drew, Manager of Customer Success

mycase-featured-margaretWhat is your position with MyCase?

I am the manager of the Customer Success team

What does your job entail?

My job is focused on continuing to build and improve our support model. This entails improving how we communicate with customers, the tools we use, and the information and training we provide our customers.

What is the most difficult part of your job?

Finding solutions for our customers for problems that come up regarding issues that are not within our immediate control.

What’s the best part of your job?

There are so many wonderful things that I appreciate about my job that it’s difficult to identify “the best.” The entire MyCase team is wonderful and I am lucky to lead the Customer Success team. It is one of the best teams I’ve worked with and their sincere concern for our customers comes out in their exceptional performance. As a manager, the best part of the job is to see your team succeed in their goals and I’m lucky to have a team that does just that. As an employee, the best part of my job is the food. 🙂

Where are you originally from and how did you end up in Santa Barbara?

I’m originally from Lompoc. I still live there, but I’ve always commuted to Santa Barbara for school and work.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Read. I can read for hours and hours, maybe even days, without stopping. But, I don’t have that much spare time.

Do you have any unusual hobbies?

I like to play darts. Is that unusual?

Tell me about your family/pets, etc.?

My boyfriend and I have two children each, so that’s four kids total. I have a girl and boy, Dylan (10) and Colin (7). He also has a boy and girl, Landon (9) and Riley (7). We’re lucky that they’re all relatively close in age so they all have the same interests and are very close. They’re all into soccer, baseball, softball, gymnastics, and swimming so our lives really revolve around getting them to practices and games. My life is crazy.

We also have three dogs: two bullmastiffs name Murphy and Mina and a shih-tzu name Mei-Mei (pronounced maymay), which means little sister in Chinese. Murphy is the gentlest dog and just spends his days stretched out on his back. Some days you’ll find him at work, taking up most of the aisle space between desks. Mina likes to dig escape tunnels from my backyard to the neighbors’s backyards. Unfortunately, she’s quite large and intimidating to some people so she’s not very popular in my neighborhood. But she’s really a sweetie and loves to snuggle with me in bed. Mei-Mei may be the smallest, but she has the biggest ego and is constantly bullying and biting Murphy and Mina. They are very patient with her and occasionally have to remind her of her size by placing one of their big paws on her head and squishing her to the floor.

How did you end up working for MyCase?

Appfolio has a well known reputation for being an awesome place to work and a company that really cares about their employees’ well being. I was ready to make a change and I kept my eye open for any opportunities. I found the opportunity with MyCase on Linkedin and jumped on it.
