ABA Techshow 2017:
A Photo Wrap Up

Another year, another ABA Techshow come and gone. And what a Techshow it was! As always, our time in Chicago flew by. Between the booth, our party, and connecting with old friends and new, a great time was had by all!

The MyCase crew began arriving in the Windy City early last week. Our booth was right near the entrance to the Expo Hall and we began setting it up bright and early Wednesday morning.

And then, after a day of hard work, the team took some well-earned time off and explored snowy Chicago:

And before we knew it, the conference had begun. The MyCase booth was packed and we met lots of new people and re-connected with old friends and customers:

As usual, our booth swag was the talk of the show – even winning an award from the ABA Journal for “Best Techshow Swag of 2017” for the headshots we’ve offered at our booth for the past few years now:

Later that afternoon, we continued our annual tradition of offering free beer at our booth. As we did last year, we served a local Irish brew in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Not surprisingly, the free beer was a hit!

Another annual tradition that continued this year were the video interviews of industry leaders. MyCase’s Legal Technology Evangelist, Niki Black, interviewed folks like Bob Ambrogi and Catherine Sander Reach, as seen in the photos below, while Chad Sands worked his magic behind the camera. Stay tuned for the videos – we’ll be publishing a compilation at Above the Law later this week and will publish each video individually next week.

Niki was also on the other side of the mic for 2 podcasts. One where Bob Ambrogi interviewed her about law practice management software and MyCase’s Techshow announcement of its enhanced mobile app and one where Molly McDonough, editor of the ABA Journal, interviewed her as part of the Legal Rebels series.

The visual notes of Techshow sessions are yet another annual Techshow tradition we continued this year. We commissioned the very talented Stephanie Crowley to take visual notes of the sessions and Techshow attendees could be found reading them and taking photos of the colorful notes that were scattered across the main floor of the conference.

And last, but certainly not least, our always popular party at Buddy Guy’s Legends on Friday night. It was a packed house, with people enjoying the live blues, playing pool, having fun in the photo booth, and more. You can view all the gifs of the photo booth here. If you missed it this year, make sure to stop by next year!

And then, before we knew it, ABA Techshow 2017 was over. We hope to see you next year!
