I originally applied to AppFolio but soon learned about the position with MyCase. After meeting some of the people and learning about the company, I knew it was the perfect fit.
What does your job entail?
I work with attorneys and legal professionals who are trying out MyCase. I help them get up and running with the software and ensure that they maximize all the benefits of using MyCase.
What is the most difficult part of your job?
It is difficult not being able to reach people in trial and be given the chance to explain how beneficial MyCase truly is.
What’s the best part of your job?
The people here are truly the best. They make it an awesome place to work. It is also very rewarding when I receive thank you emails from attorneys who appreciate the help I gave them throughout their trials.
Where are you originally from and how did you end up in Santa Barbara?
I was born and raised in Bakersfield, California and moved to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB. I found it impossible to leave the beautiful scenery and amazing weather after I graduated.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am a tennis fanatic and have been playing my whole life so I try to get on the court whenever possible. I also love to travel and visit my family and friends that are scattered throughout California. I hope to soon take advantage of the unreal surge of tropical fish in SoCal waters and go fishing too!
Do you have any unusual hobbies?
The Santa Barbara office recently acquired a ping pong table so I have quickly become the ping pong guru around here. I enjoy teaching my co-workers the finer points of the game.
Tell me about your family/pets, etc.?
My mom and dad live in Bakersfield. I have two older brothers who have decided to follow in my dad’s footsteps and are on the long journey to becoming physicians. I also have a grandma, four uncles, six aunts, and too many cousins to count who all live within a 300-mile radius of each other here in California.
Do you have a favorite saying or quote and if so, what is it and why?
“…It is better to burn out than to fade away” –Neil Young. I’m a huge Neil Young fan and it reminds me to never let life pass me by.
