As you most likely already know, we rolled at some sweeping new Time and Billing features two weeks ago. The feedback on those has been awesome and it appears as though we have built the best time and billing system in the market!
We wanted to let you know that we have released some updates in the past few days. You may have noticed the new bar at the bottom of your screen when in MyCase. That is the MyCase dock and currently contains two useful features. One is another quick add item menu. This is the same quick add menu that you have on the top right, but the difference is that this bar is static, meaning if you are scrolled to the bottom of a page, you will be able to add items into MyCase without scrolling all the way back up!
The second great feature in the MyCase dock is the timer. This is a widely requested and useful tool that allows you to easily track and capture your time. The timer continues to track time as you navigate all over MyCase, so you can use it while you are doing work in MyCase.
The other feature that we have launched is default billing rates. You can now set a default billing rate for every firm user, which will automatically populate when you create a time entry for that user. Further, you can override that default rate on a per case basis, in case you have a different hourly rate for a particular client!
We hope that you find these features useful and as always, they are already available for you to use! The default billing rates can be set in the firm users section of your settings page.
